This program is especially developed for our Bandsaw Blade Sharpener. Templates generated with it will probably not work on other similar machines.
The instructions down below should be followed step by step in order to obtain the right template for a specific blade.
- Choose the blade to be sharpened
- Using a thin point marker (Sharpie/Edding, etc.) mark a 10 teeth section and measure from the tip of the first to the last tooth of the section and divide the obtained value by 10. This will be the average tooth pitch.
- Measure the tooth height with a caliper. Measure from the gullet of the tooth to its tip. Measure all teeth and use the most repeated value. This will be sufficiently accurate.
On narrower blades or those with small teeth, it may be easier to measure the blade width at each tooth and the distance of the bottom edge of the blade to the gullet of the tooth. The difference of these two values will be the tooth height. Again, choose the most repeated value.
