Bandsaw Blade Sharpener (BBS)

This is how your Bandsaw-blade sharpener will look when built using the Plans we supply.

Bandsaw Blade Sharpener

Resharpening bandsaw blades by hand is time consuming and often not so precise. Finding a company for such job is not easy and the cost is usually high. So building a Bandsaw-Blade Sharpener is the best solution.

Most Bandsaw-Blade Sharpeners can only sharpen one type of bandsaw blade. But in real life, most woodworkers use at least three different types of bandsaw blades. A thin one for curved cuts, a medium one for everyday use and a wide blade for cutting/ripping thick material. All of these blades have different shapes of teeth-height and teeth-length (pitch).

Our Bandsaw-Blade sharpener is especially designed to resharp different types of blades. This is possible because we offer a service to generate a template for any different type. This template can be printed with a standard printer, glued to a piece of wood and cut to shape using a bandsaw. It is a quick process done in a few minutes. See this video: LINK

A template is required for each type of bandsaw-blade. Templates can be used over and over again.

The machine is driven by a cheap car wiper motor which is available at automotive shops.

Building the machine does not require any fancy tools.
